Well its been a while since I did an Update .
Over the winter we decided that we wasnt going to use the van over winter ,so took the opportunity to Recover the Drivers and Passenger seats,we looked into buying a pair of seats but they cost too much and would need work to make them fit so decided to strip our seats and recover them with Faux leather . The cost of the material with the special thread and leather needles came to £40 .
I first off removed the complete seat on the passenger side and set about stripping the seat base out ,once the seat has been removed the base can come out in two ways ours has a lever which allows the seat base to be slid out this also gives us easy access to the battery under the seat, the other way is there are two torx 30 screws holding the base to the seat frame right at the front edge ,remove these and it all slides forward .
Once the seat base was removed i set about removing the cover ,the seat cover is secured by a foam trim around the edge of the seat base a small screw driver allows you too flick it out and this then allows the seat cover to be removed ,Before it is completly removed to need to unclip the three Hog rings which hold the cover tight on the base .long nose pliers will be fine for this job .
